Summer is here and we are ready to stay active.  Join your fellow 4-H’ers as we bike, scooter, walk, skip, hop, jump, lunge, rollerblade, exercise or dance our way around Freeborn, Rice, Steele, Waseca Counties and maybe even the State of Minnesota!  There are more than 4 ways to get active--the Quad-ath-alon is to see if you can get around 4 counties doing different exercises-hence the name Quad.
    Ready, Set, Bike with 4-H
Summer is here and we are ready to hit the trails with you and your bike! Join your fellow 4-H’ers as we pedal across your own county, we could even gather enough miles to go around the state on our bikes! How?  By submitting your distance to us! Sign up today to receive a pedometer and be connected to weekly information about your bike project. Ready, Set, Bike with 4-H is open to 4-H’ers in Freeborn, Rice, Steele and Waseca.  For all youth enrolled in 4-H (including Cloverbuds).
Waseca County Fair canceled, 4-H showcases still planned
As many of you have heard, the Waseca County fair board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Waseca County Fair due to the COVID-19 health pandemic. 4-H supports this decision and is committed to offering an alternative for Waseca County youth to showcase their learning and achievements. So keep working on your projects, ID your animals by June 1, and continue working with them too. In partnership with the fair board, we will find a way to celebrate your effort and ensure a pathway to state events.
    State Fair cancellation
Extension is creating alternate experiences for 4-H'ers and others. "It won’t replace the Fair but we are committed to meaningful programming," says Dean Durgan.
Register for the 4-H State Leadership Conference - YELLO...ish!
Youth will be able to participate in a variety of workshops and social activities online - check out one or all of the opportunities! There will be no cost to attend.
