4-H Livestock Quality Assurance training updates

The cancellation of all in-person Extension 4-H programs has been extended to May 15, 2020. This decision was made to align with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

While we had planned to host an in person LQAE training on April 4, given the current situation with COVID-19 we encourage 4-H youth who require livestock quality assurance certification, in order to be eligible for the 2020 Minnesota State Fair 4-H livestock shows, to please consider taking the Youth for Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) online training. For more information about this online format, check out the YQCA/LQAE button on the Swift County MN 4-H mobile app.

Also, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) organization is offering a 25% off flash sale on the web based certification. This will bring the price of the training down from $12.00 to $9.00. This sale is only for the month of April and is arranged for directly through the YQCA program (Minnesota 4-H is not facilitating this opportunity). Please view this YQCA letter and coupon order form. Any questions should be directed to Advance purchase of the discount priced coupon from YQCA is required to participate in this offer.  The coupon is only good for the month of April and the YQCA certification is good for the 2020 exhibition year.

We are committed to keeping youth safe during this challenging time. Thank you for your patience and flexibility. Please email Becca at if you have questions.
