St. Louis - Duluth County Extension Office

The “Hills”, formerly Woodland Hills, is a trauma-informed organization providing programming for at-risk youth and their families. The youth that participate in the program are often court ordered to attend; they have arrived due to some difficult circumstances in their young lives. Each year they participate in the South St. Louis County Fair, and compete for State Fair trips.

The South St. Louis County Ambassador group recently honed their outdoor and leadership skills by backpacking along the Superior Hiking Trail.

Youth volunteers from 17 local sites gather to celebrate their service.

The livestock group from the county was very successful at State Fair this year. All their hard work and dedication really paid off!

4-H brings youth of all ages together to the Kids Kitchen at the Damiano Center. Whether the youth are teaching or learning; all are participating in fun activities.

The University of Minnesota Extension Master Naturalist Program, in partnership with the University of Minnesota Duluth, invites area residents to participate in National Public Lands Day (NPLD) on September 28th, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
