Are you ready for summer? As the school year winds down, now is the time to shift our focus to summer and with that comes the county fair! If you have been anxiously awaiting the county fair all year and showcasing your 4-H projects...then you’re in luck!

Registration for the 2019 Sherburne County Fair is now OPEN!*

The Sherburne County 4-H County Fair registration deadline is Monday, June 17th. This gives you about a month to sign up for what you plan to exhibit at the fair. We are looking forward to celebrating your accomplishments with you at the fair this year. It is always so rewarding to see all of the learning and growth our 4-H members have achieved this year through their 4-H projects.

To help you with your county fair entries, exhibit selection and registration - the Premium Book is now available! Think of the Premium Book as your go-to guide for all things county fair! In it you will find county fair schedules, rules, information, and exhibit/entry information for each project area. Use it to help you select what projects you will be bringing and refer to it often to help answer any questions you may have. Printed hard copies of the Premium Book are also available at the Extension office (located in the Government Center in Elk River).

Once you know what you plan to exhibit at the fair to be judged, the next step is to register! You may do so online at FairEntry (Log in using your 4HOnline enrollment log-in information). For help on registering your projects for the fair Minnesota 4-H has some helpful guides and tutorial videos online. Visit the Register 4-H Entries at your County Fair section of the website to view. Also be sure to visit the Sherburne County 4-H website for continued updates on the county fair.

*Note: Enrolling in 4-H does not mean that you have signed up to participate in the fair. Enrolling in 4-H online is just the first step. Annual 4-H enrollment in 4HOnline does not indicate which projects you intend to take to the fair (when you select projects as a part of your enrollment, you are simply indicating which areas you are interested in). Registering for the projects you would like to take to the fair is done after enrollment, and is a separate process done in FairEntry.
