Evenings in the Garden

Who are the Master Gardeners?

We are a collective of over one hundred trained volunteers accredited by the University of Minnesota Extension who provide free, unbiased horticultural and environmental best practices. Our goal is to enhance quality of life through informed decision-making. We reach thousands every year, partnering with schools, cities, organizations and neighbors in Carver and Scott counties.

Please visit our website for information about upcoming classes and for the Zoom web link for each event,

Join us for a virtual Evenings in the Garden program.  Evenings in the Garden takes place every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, June through August.  We have currently moved to online learning, so sit back and enjoy the garden kick-off from the comfort of your own home.

What is Plant Propagation?

Find out the answers with the Carver-Scott Master Gardeners.  Plant propagation is a way to start more plants for yourself or share them with others.  We will look at the difference between starting a tomato plant from seed or propagation, and other methods for both inside and outside.  Plants make wonderful gifts!  Propagate a few to give away.
