    Junior Leader Workshop (JLW) 2020
    Plan to attend Junior Leader Workshop (JLW) 2020 - 4-H: The Next Level. The event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    Plan to attend 4-H Leaders Council meeting
    The 4-H Leaders Council is meeting on Sunday, Oct. 25 from 5-6 p.m. Agenda items are to approve our county charter and discuss ongoing business.
    It's time for our Youth Leaders kick-off meeting!
    Youth in grades 7 and up are invited to become a member of the Pope County Youth Leader's group. Our group meets once a month for a couple of hours to develop youth leadership skills and work as a team to develop activities for the county 4-H program. Join us to help lead and grow Pope County 4-H!
    Club charters are due October 31
    Each 4-H club is annually required to complete a charter and submit by October 31 to the Pope County Extension Office. Club leaders will be communicating necessary steps and requirements to complete this charter process.
    Plan now for National 4-H Week: Oct. 4-10
    Celebrate National 4-H Week, Oct. 4-10 by participating in the National 4-H Week promotional display contest. Clubs are eligible to participate for a chance to win a cash prize.

    New this year: the SW Region 4-H staff are offering five amazing virtual opportunities for youth of all ages. There is also a statewide opportunity you can check out.
    MN 4-H Fall Photo Challenge
    Fall colors are beginning to develop, so now is a great time to get your camera or phone focused on a cool picture! Red apples, orange pumpkins, and the golden leaves of fall make for awesome pictures, especially when you include your favorite people, animals or landscapes. Open to youth in grades K-13.
    Tracks, scat and all of that!
    Join us as we explore and learn about nature and wildlife geared for youth in grades 4 - 6. These free 30 minute sessions will be held on Saturdays, from 10 am - 10:30 am.
    Down on the farm starts October 10
    Youth in grades K-3 are invited to join us for weekly Zoom sessions to explore the wonderful world of animal science.
