Use the Cloverbud information sheet to determine age appropriate activities

Youth are joining 4-H all across the state this fall. Youth who join that are in K-2nd grade should follow the guidelines and policies that are specific to this age group. The 4-H Cloverbud program supports the positive development of children as they explore their world, discover the possibilities and practice basic social skills. The 4-H Cloverbud information sheet for parents, guardians and mentors provides program/activity options, safety considerations, policies and rules.

This resource provides the following:

  • Planning age appropriate types of programming.
  • Understanding cooperative versus competitive programming.
  • Understanding the rules for Cloverbud participation across all types of programs.
  • Ensuring safety measures are in place for all activities to keep all Cloverbuds safe when participating in programs and activities.

Using this info sheet will help you plan and deliver programs for Cloverbuds that are safe and age appropriate for all Kindergarten through 2nd grade 4-H participants.
