Message from Associate Dean and Minnesota 4-H Director

Dear 4-H youth, families and volunteers,

University of Minnesota Extension has extended its cancellation of in-person events until the end of June. As with the previous cancellations, this applies to all in-person Extension-led events, including those conducted by volunteers. It aligns with university travel restrictions.

I have convened workgroups to build contingency plans for fairs, animal science, and other summer programs. As soon as these plans are ready, we will share them with you.

4-H educators are hard at work creating meaningful learning and leading experiences young people can access from their homes. And many 4-H volunteers are connecting with youth from their clubs, teams and project groups to encourage and support them.

Here is just a sample of our upcoming events:

New opportunities are being developed all the time and we welcome your feedback and ideas. Please connect with an educator in your community to learn more.

Thank you for your commitment to helping Minnesota youth thrive.
