Polk County 4-H Animal ID Updates / 4-H ANIMAL ID REMINDERS


  •  All ID information available on MN 4-H website:


  • Important Update: Polk County 4-H Animal Ear Tag distribution form will be due May 8, 2020.  Please complete the ear tag google form to let me know what you will need for ear tags. This needs to be done no later than Friday, May 8th . Please carefully determine your order; there will not be another chance to reorder. I will put packages together and put them in the mail the week of May 11th. Please contact Katie Becker, Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development via email for Polk County 4-H with any questions   


  • ALL Polk County 4-H youth planning to show 4-H animals at the fair, MUST identify the animals in 4HOnline   - Beef, Dairy, Sheep, Swine, Goat, Rabbit, Poultry & Horse -Extended deadline June 1st. All additional animal paperwork (registration papers, poultry statement of origin, horse coggins etc.) due by June 1, upload in 4HOnline or scan and email to Katie at


  • LQA& E (Required for any livestock 4-H youth wishing to attend state fair 2020)- 4-H youth that requires livestock quality assurance certification for this year’s State Fair 4-H shows, please use the Youth for Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) online training. You have until July 7,2020 to complete this training online.  Please contact Katie Becker, Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development via email for Polk County 4-H with any questions. 


  •  CLOVERBUD NOTICE: Cloverbud (Gr. K-2) youth planning to show animals at the fair must abide by all official rules & have official ID tag or tattoo, but should not ID in 4HOnline, (unless shown by another older 4-H member). However, all cloverbud entries must be included in county fair registration for stalling/penning purposes.


  • Reminder: All Families must also register fair animal projects online in ‘FairEntry’ for judging classes and stalling/penning purposes.
