Chef for the Summer Registration Open

Are you getting tired of eating cereal? Do you want to learn how to cook but you're not sure where to start? Then register for the Chef for the Summer cooking class today! This five part cooking class is entirely online through Zoom on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. starting August 4 and ending September 1. This class is for youth ages 8 - 12.

These activities can spark children's interest in trying new foods and help empower them with skills for independence.

Food supplies will be provided for up to 20 participants through the TRF Area Food Shelf. Prizes will also be available for those who participate! If you choose not to receive food supplies, you will be provided with a shopping list instead to help you find necessary ingredients.

We encourage adult supervision during the class.

To register, fill out this Google Form by Thursday, July 23. If you are not already an enrolled Pennington County 4-H member, please sign up online at or reach out to the Pennington County Extension Office directly at 218-683-7030 or to receive a paper enrollment form.

This class is held in partnership between Pennington County 4-H, SNAP-ED, FFA and the Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf.
