Animal ID Deadline extended!!

Our animal identification system will remain in place. The deadline is extended to June 1, 2020.

Our office is closed to the public, but we are still able to provide 4-H tags to families. If you need tags, please fill out the 4-H Family Tag Request Form and we will fill your order.

As tag request forms are received, staff will be packaging tags by family. These will be available to pick up when staff returns to working in the Extension office.

If tags are needed prior to this date for some reason, arrangements can be made by contacting Mackenzie or Linda. Please be patient and work with us through this very unique situation.

You will have plenty of time to pick up tags prior to the ID deadline. Families must place tags in animal ears and record identification data in 4HOnline by June 1. Any unused tags must be returned to our office by June 15.

While your youth are home and looking for things to fill time, encourage them to explore livestock demonstrations and Science of Animals projects to extend learning.

If a 4-H youth requires livestock quality assurance certification for this year’s State Fair 4-H shows, please use the Youth for Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) online training.
