Murray County 4-H scholarship opportunity for high school seniors

Have you been an active 4-H member?  Are you going to a four-year or technical college in the fall?  Could you use financial assistance?  If you answered yes to these questions, apply for a $500 Murray County 4-H scholarship!

Minimum requirements:

  • Must have completed at least four (4) years in Murray County 4-H by September of this year.
  • Will graduate from high school with the class of 2020
  • Will be continuing education upon high school graduation

Additional requirements:

  • Applicant must show leadership, commitment, and participation in one or more of the following: county ambassador program, club/county officer, participation in 4-H trip, or served on a club or county committee.

Five $500 scholarships may be awarded this year (max. of $2,500 given each year).  Scholarship recipients will be announced at the 4-H Awards Celebration in November.   The 4-H Scholarship Selection Committee will NOT know the names of those applying.  Scholarship funds will be issued after each recipient completes their first semester of college and provides proof with grades or spring semester registration to the Extension office. Scholarship funds will be payable to your college or tech school.
