  • 2019 4-H Project Day

At Project Day we had over 30 youth participate with eight different activities to choose from. The largest session of the day, with over 15 participants, was run by 4-Her Elizabeth Reich. She led a session where she taught the youth how to make a pet toy out of old t-shirts. In addition to that, the most popular activity of the day was Cupcake Decorating with Patti Paul. The kids got to test their decorating skills on three different kinds of cupcakes, one being a cupcake baked into an ice cream cone!

  • Steak Supper Fundraiser

On March 30th, people from inside and outside the community gathered at the Mahnomen Area Service Center where they were served by the Mahnomen County 4-Hers. With over 160 tickets sold, we were able to raise over $2,300.00, which is about $360.00 more than last year! This makes the Steak Supper our second largest fundraiser of the year.

  • 4-H Knowledge Bowl

Mahnomen County's Jr. General Livestock competed at the NW Regional Knowledge Bowl Competition on March 16th in Deer River, MN. The team consisted of Olivia Halvorson, Bailey Halvorson, Marcus Noll, Natalie Noll, Bridget Miller, and Brandon Miller. Though they did not qualify for state, the young team looks to have a bright future ahead of them!
