Mahnomen County 4-H Ambassadors

On Sunday, September 8th Five youth and 2 adults took part in an Escape room experience for the Fall Ambassador Kick-off event. The youth had to work together to solve the clues to escape the Mummy’s Tomb’s. The youth had fun and said the only thing they would have changed was the location of the Escape Room. During the meeting, the Ambassadors decided that it would be more fun to create their own shirts to wear for events. At the October 6th meeting they tie-dyed shirts for the year. They will be working with teacher Derek Aus at Mahnomen Public School to design and screen-print the shirts.  While they were dyeing their shirts, they discussed the upcoming Ambassador training that took place on October 17th at Mahnomen Public School with Clearwater County and Wilkin County Ambassadors.  We all discussed the upcoming Cloverbud Project day that we are hosting at Mahnomen Public School during the Annual Festival of Crafts on Saturday, November 9th.

The Tri-County Ambassador Training took place on Thursday, October 17th during MEA break. Mahnomen County 4-H Ambassadors as well as Clearwater County and Wilkin County arrived early and participated in icebreaker activities, skill building and team building activities. They played games and led lessons for the other youth to participate in and learn from.
