Volunteering with Mahnomen County 4-H

Do you have an interest or experience with Foods, Shooting Sports, Photography, Agriculture or anything else? Would you like to share this knowledge with others? Why not share it with youth in Mahnomen County?

There has been continued youth interest in the areas of Food & Nutrition, Shooting Sports & Wildlife and Photography. As the coordinator for Mahnomen County 4-H I would like to be able to meet these interests in youth throughout the county and potentially grow the program through developing a once monthly club or six week course that would meet to allow youth to learn more about these areas and gain more skills to help them throughout their life. Contact Rebekah Donner at the Mahnomen County Extension Office to learn more about volunteering in Mahnomen County.

Volunteer Training

Adult and Youth volunteers please join me in an exciting afternoon of growth and collaboration in the area of youth development and be able to apply skills learned immediately during the session. There will be another opportunity for an in-person volunteer training on February 9th following the 4-H Federation Meeting. You may also take part in the first of three sessions online starting Monday, Jan. 27.  Attending the annual volunteer training gives you a chance to connect with other volunteers, discuss current concerns or ideas and gain more knowledge in the area of volunteering with a youth development program. Please let the Extension Office know which training you plan to attend as a volunteer. We hope to see you on February 9th for the in-person volunteer training.
