Recap of Mahnomen County 4-H Awards Banquet

The Mahnomen County    4-H Awards banquet was held on November 11th at Pappy’s Café in Waubun. The night began with a game of Family Feud between the Federation officers and members of the 4Ever4-H club. The cafe prepared a build-your-own burger bar along with fries and soup.

  • The 2018-2019 Federation Officers were installed: President-Mackenzie Lampton, Vice President-Laney Swiers, Secretary-Logan Kettner, Treasurer-Elizabeth Reich, Reporter-Sady Swiers, Fill-in-Kael Snetsinger.
  • Dog training awards were given to Sarah and Ed Snetsinger, Daniel Snetsinger, Kael Snetsinger, and David Wadena.
  • The county and state fair exhibitor awards were presented to each individual who participated. $2 bills were awarded for Grand Champion placement, and $1 coins were awarded for Reserve Champion placement.
  • Our volunteers were recognized for their commitment and all the support they provide the 4-H program. The Friends of 4-H award, which recognizes those whose leadership and actions contribute to the 4-H program’s improvement, was presented to Derek Aus and Scott Thomas. Daniel Snetsinger was given the Senior Leadership Award to acknowledge the important role that he has played in this 4-H community.

The Awards Banquet is a fun night in which we get the opportunity to thank all of the 4-H youth, volunteers, families, and community members that make Mahnomen 4-H great and help it continue to grow.

Thank you to all that could make it!
