Recap Mahnomen County 4-H Awards Banquet

Recap by Lizy Reich, Reporter

  • 19 Youth & 22 Adults attended
  • Friends of 4-H Recipients:  Sandy Kaster & JoAnn Kersting
  • “The Mahnomen County 4-H had their awards banquet on November 16th. This year’s awards banquet was held at, and catered by the Pinehurst Resort. While everyone arrived the youth played Captain, May I and everyone visited. The food was plentiful and then we welcomed our new officers.
  • Our new officers are: Lindsey Swiers as President, Chris Braaten as Vice President, Daniel Snetsinger as Treasurer, Mackenzie Lampton as Secretary, and Lizy Reich as Reporter.
  • We also handed out the awards and played Family Feud. The awards were handed out and the Cloverbuds even got a prize pen. We also recognized the Herdsmanship award winners, Mackenzie Lampton and Laney Swiers. The adults that help the 4-H federation were also recognized and we thank you very much.
  • Family Feud was a battle between the “We’re Better Than You” team and the “Baller Otters” team. The “We’re Better Than You” team was in first until the third round where the “Baller Otters” took the lead and won. That activity concluded the eventful night.
