Project Bowl Team Does Well

A group of youth standing and smiling at the photographer

On February 1st nine youth and their 2 coaches competed in Northern MN 4-H Project Bowl Invitational in Crookston Minnesota.  The two teams were up against some tough teams however they were prepared for it. They practice once a week with guidance from their 2 coaches: Gina Noll and Kelly Klinkhammer. The youth have been learning about General Livestock to compete in the Project Bowl. This means they are learning about Beef Cattle, Goats, Sheep and Pigs. Mahnomen Junior team 2 took 3rd place out of 8 teams. It was a close tie almost beating a Senior General Livestock team. Mahnomen Junior team 1 took 5th place out of 8 teams. They worked hard against some tough older youth. Way to go Mahnomen Junior 1 & 2 teams! We are proud of all the hard work you have put it in to competing and look forward to seeing you compete at Regional Project bowl in Bemidji MN on March 21st.
