May 1st

  • FairEntry Project Registration Opens
  • FairEntry opens, and you can register your projects for the fair! We are using a new multi-entry format this year, so make sure not to leave it untill last minute in case you have any questions about the new system.

May 15th

  • 4-H Enrollment & Animal ID– 4HOnline
  • May 15th is the deadline for 4-H enrollment. Enrollment forms can be picked up at the Extension Office, but we encourage you to use 4HOnline if you can.
  • May 15th is also the deadline for All Animal ID, besides the Market Beef and Dairy Steers that were due February 15th. Please do so on 4HOnline.

June 11th-14th

  • YELLO!- St. Paul, MN
  • YELLO! (Youth Exploring Leadership and Learning Outloud!) is a 4-H civic engagement and leadership conference that is planned and ran by the Minnesota 4-H State Ambassadors. The event is June 11th - June 14th down in St. Paul. It is open to youth 6th Grade and Up and the cost is $250 which covers all meals, lodging, activities, transportation, service projects, chaperones, and a T-shirt. Registration is due May 10th.

June 7th-9th

  • Sand Hill Lake 4-H Camp- Fosston, MN

This year’s Sand Hill Lake 4-H Camp is being held June 7th-9th at the Sand Hill Lake Camp in Fosston, MN. It is open to grades 3-8 and registration is due May 1st. The cost is $80 for Mahnomen County 4-Hers. For any questions, please contact the Extension Office. Registration forms can be found at the extension office or online at

June 16th

  • Fair Cleanup-Mahnomen County Fairgrounds

This year's Fair Cleanup will be on June 16th at 1:00 pm. Remember, if you want to be a part of the premium auction, you must attend Fair Cleanup! If you have a conflict, please contact the Extension Office before cleanup.

June 19th

  • FairEntry Project Registration Deadline
  • June 19th is the last day that you can register your projects for the fair. If you miss this deadline, you will still be able to enter your projects at the fair, but you will be entered in the open class.

June 27th

  • Livestock Interviews – NEW!

This year we are going to amp up our livestock interviews! They will be on Thursday, June 27th from 10:00 am- 2:00 pm. When you go to register your projects on FairEntry, you will be asked to schedule a time for your interview. You will have to pick a 30-minute time frame between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. We will hold 3 interviews during each 30-minute time frame, so your interview won’t take more than 10 minutes. Please be prepared at beginning of your time slot!
