On Sunday, November 17th Mahnomen County 4-H held its annual Awards Banquet at the Hilltop Supper Club in Waubun, Minnesota. A buffet style meal was served followed by a competitive game of 4-H Family Feud. Thank you to Gerri Swiers for leading the game. A brief Federation meeting followed approving the 2019-2020 Budget and discussing recent 4-H events in the county. The 2019-2020 Officer Team is: President - Laney Swiers, Vice President – Kaden Noll, Secretary – Sady Swiers and Treasurer - Kael Snetsinger. Rebekah looks forward to working with all of you this year and is excited to see where Mahnomen County 4-H will go. She enjoyed working with the 2018-2019 Officer team: President - Mackenzie Lampton, Vice President – Laney Swiers, Secretary – Logan Kettner, Treasurer – Elizabeth Reich, Reporter – Sady Swiers and Officer at Large – Kael Snetsinger. All youth received recognition for their Grand and Reserve Champion fair projects. Kaden Noll, Elizabeth Reich and Logan Jackson-Braaten were recognized for their hard work at the State Fair this year, each project earning a blue ribbon.  The 4Ever 4-H Club banner was also shown at the State Fair, earning a blue ribbon. The youth worked hard on this banner, creating a fun and organized banner. Great job 4-Ever 4-H club members and leaders keep on improving and growing from each experience. Kael Snetsinger was recognized as the 2018-2019 Dog Award Recipient. Jon McArthur was chosen as the Mahnomen County 4-H Friend of 4-H award recipient for his time volunteering at project days and his dedication to supporting the 4-H program. Mackenzie Lampton, Elizabeth Reich and Logan Kettner were all chosen for the Senior Leadership Award. Each one of them have helped and lead project day activities, helped at the fair and held officer positions in the 4-H program.  Thank to each of you and best wishes at college.
