2019 Mahnomen County Fair Information

2019 Mahnomen County Fair

When: The dates for the fair are June 27, 28, 29; static exhibit judging will take place on June 26.

Reminder:  You need to be enrolled in 4-H to exhibit at the Fair! The deadline for enrollment is May 15.

All animals need to be ID'd in 4H Online by May 15!  Letters have been mailed out to youth that are enrolled in 4H and have selected livestock projects.  Guides and information on the Animal ID process can be found here.  The exception is Cloverbud animals, these animals DO NOT need to be ID'd in 4HOnline. Cloverbud animals do require an official ID (eartag, tattoo, leg band) but this information is not tracked in 4H Online.

Projects will be registered via FairEntry again this year, registration opens May 16, 2019. New this year is a multi-entry setting that (hopefully) will make the registration process faster for most families.  The biggest change with this is that you will no longer select grade levels when selecting a project area. For example: You will select "Bicycle" instead of "Bicycle grades 3-5. This does not change the way that projects are judged, only the way that you register. Youth will still be divided into grade levels for awards.  The only change is the way you register for projects.  A detailed guide on the multi-entry registration process is available here.  Livestock entries (excluding posters) will be entered individually, nearly every other project area is under static exhibits.

The 2019 Premium Book is available here  any changes made will be noted below.  Exact times of livestock shows and other events are still TBD.  Please review the premium book as there are some project areas and/or classes that have not been available in the past.
