Annual Volunteer Training

Annual Volunteer Training is coming up. This will be a 2 ½ hour training with lunch provided. All adult and youth volunteers are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend this training. The training will be held at Faithbridge Church in Park Rapids on Saturday, October 26 from 10:00-12:30 p.m.

The theme for 2019 is centered around building social emotional learning skills. Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults learn important life skills. There is increasing recognition that graduating from high school and being prepared for college and career requires a skill set that extends beyond traditional academics. Eight out of ten employers say SEL skills are the most important to success and yet also the hardest skills to find. Participants will leave armed with SEL tools and activities, as well as an action plan to imbed SEL skill-building into 4-H programming.

Registration for the training has been sent out and will be due October 18th. Please put Saturday, October 26 on your calendar to reserve it for a day of food, fun, and learning!
