    Announcements from Lily .....

    Decisions surrounding the Hubbard County fair are still being made by the Fair Board, however, UMN Extension 4-H in Hubbard County has decided to move all judging experiences to a virtual format. This decision was not made lightly, but we feel it is the best decision we can make in the interest of our members. We understand many are feeling a sense of loss and we feel this too, but know that we are committed to ensuring our young people have an opportunity to showcase the projects they have worked hard on and receive valuable feedback they can learn from. We will let you know as more information becomes available and plans are determined but we thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and support

    Corn Production Zoom Workshop

    4-H in Mahnomen County has partnered with Pioneer Seed to bring 4-H’ers a fun and educational workshop about agriculture. Mahnomen County 4-H is inviting 4-H’ers from surrounding counties to attend this awesome learning opportunity. 


    YELLO (Youth Exploring Leadership and Learning Opportunities) is our annual youth leadership conference led by Minnesota 4-H State Ambassadors for youth in grades 7-13. We will be transitioning YELLO activities to an online environment this year called YELLO-ish. Youth will be able to participate in a sampling of the typical YELLO activities - morning kick-off sessions, educational workshops led by youth and adults, small group meetings led by the State Ambassadors and evening social activities.

    Fun with 4-H

    Join us for a 6-week 4-H at home program that engages youth in a variety of fun activities they can do virtually and offline. This program will focus on using resources and supplies youth have at home to engage them in quality learning experiences.

    The Clover Challenge

    We started a four week challenge entitled The Clover Challenge. This challenge is for all Hubbard County 4-H’ers and their families and is designed to highlight the building of skills and learning in the four clover H’s: Head to clearer thinking, Heart to greater loyalty, Hands to larger service, and Health to better living.

    State Fair cancellation

    Extension is creating alternate experiences for 4-H'ers and others. "It won’t replace the Fair but we are committed to meaningful programming," says Dean Durgan.

    Register for 4-H performing arts #AtHome

    A new 4-H performing arts series is coming to you #AtHome this summer! This engaging series of performing arts sessions will kick-off with a live session on Thursday, June 18, right from your home. Learn from teaching artists working in the field, receive resources on all things theatre, and connect with 4-H performing arts members across the state! Registration is free and required for participation.

    Participate in new 4-H Stock Talks!

    Join this new virtual animal science presentation experience for all Minnesota 4-H youth (grades K-13). A 4-H Stock Talk is a short video presentation about an animal science topic of your choice. Giving a talk is a great opportunity for you to share your learning with others and practice your demonstration skills! Videos must be submitted between June 1 and June 30. Sign-up today!
