Second Series of After-school Programming in Herman-Norcross

We are excited to announce that we will be continuing our partnership with the Herman-Norcross Community School to provide a second series of after-school programming!

Our first 6-week series on Healthy Living was a huge success, with 35 youth participating including 27 who had no previous experience with 4-H. Each week we looked at a different facet of health with the 24-32 youth attendees, ranging from "What is Health?" to "Mental and Emotional Health" to "Healthy Relationships" to "Healthy Habitats and Citizens". The youth started with a short lesson before apply what they learned to a craft and/or a game in the gym, giving everyone a chance to learn and interact in their own way.

To build on this program, we will be holding a second 6-week series on Exploring Communities and Cultures. All students are welcome to attend, but must complete an enrollment form for liability purposes. For more information or to register, contact Claire Larson at or Amanda Blume at 320-677-2291.

A huge thanks goes out to the Center for Small Towns for hiring our amazing student interns who helped make these 6 weeks a success!
