Multi-Generation Farm Transition Planning

Interested in learning more about farm business transition? Do you have questions about how to begin working through this challenging topic? Or, have you already started your plan and want to learn more? University of Minnesota Extension and the Minnesota State College and University System have partnered to offer hands-on farm transition education. We offer three sessions from which to select:


  • Wabasha at the AmericInn Meeting Room on Thursdays, December 5 and January 9 4:30 – 9:00 pm.
  • Faribault at South Central College Event Center Friday, February 28, 4:00 - 8:30 pm and Saturday, February 29, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
  • Alexandria at Alexandria Tech and Community College Room 209, March 13, 4:00 - 8:30 pm and Saturday, March 14, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

We recommend multiple generations of the farm family attend the retreat. Cost is $100 per family ($200 for an individual), but scholarships are available.
