Apply to represent Minnesota 4-H at the National 4-H Conference!

Minnesota youth attend National 4-H Conference

Each spring, nearly 250 4-H youth from across the country gather at the National 4-H Conference to develop new skills and share their ideas with our country’s decision makers.

We are looking for Minnesota's representatives - is your teenager one of them?

While at the conference, youth join round table groups to discuss an issue of interest to a federal agency. Youth will work together, under the guidance of a facilitator, to develop a presentation and share it with agency representatives.

Additionally, attendees participate in skill-building workshops, engage in team-building exercises, and learn about 4-H in other states. At the end of the experience, the attendees spend a “Day on the Hill” and visit with Minnesota legislators.

The National 4-H Conference will be held March 28 - April 2, at the National 4-H Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Selected delegates will have at least three pre-trip online meetings to prepare for the experience, and will be expected to complete a post-trip application activity in their local community.

Eligible youth are current 10-12th grade students who will be at least 15 years old by Jan. 1.

Deadline: Applications and references are due Nov. 15 at 11:59 p.m. central time.
