Dog project is ready to roll

Learn how to train the ideal pet, or for competition!

Who can participate?

This project is open for youth of all abilities in grades 3+

What you may do in the 4-H Dog Project this year:

  1. Learn how to care for and train a dog
  2. Learn leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork
  3. Discover careers that involve working with dogs
  4. Compete in a 4-H dog show

When will we meet?

Obedience training will be held on Thursdays at 6:30 pm at Checkerboard Park on May 28, June 4, 11, 18, 25 and  July 2, 9.

You and your dog are ready to participate when…

  1. Enrollment for 4-H is completed in 4Honline for each child participating
  2. Dog identification materials are uploaded into 4Honline or submitted to the Extension Office (Due June 1)
  3. Rabies vaccination is up to date
  4. A current distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza and parvovirus (DHLPP) vaccination is up to date
