COVID-19 Safety Measures for Summer Showcase Judging

The following steps will be put in place to meet current health and safety guidelines.

STATIC PROJECTS

  • No more than 25 individuals will be allowed in the judging area at a time or a group/pod around the area
  • Families should take their temperature at home. A health screening for all members will occur upon entry and include a temperature check if not done at home. 
  • If you are sick please do not come to your judging.
  • Judging tables will be sanitized after each 4-H member judging session
  • Judges will not handle projects except under special circumstances
  • Social distancing of 6 feet will be enforced
  • 4-H members are required to wear masks when they cannot social distance and are encouraged to wear them during the day
  • We will be utilizing an outdoor space for judging (Location to be determined) 
  • No general public will be allowed.
  • Please only attend with ONE parent/guardian (unless additional parent/guardian is in a volunteer role).

LIVESTOCK PROJECTS

  • No more than 25 individuals will be allowed in a group/pod area at a time. 
  • Depending on show and volunteer size, parents may not be able to view the judging of their children's animals
  • Families should take their temperature at home. A health screening for all members will occur upon entry and include a temperature check if not done at home. 
  • If you are sick please do not come to your judging.
  • Equipment and supplies will be sanitized after contact.
  • Social distancing of 6 feet will be enforced.
  • 4-H members are required to wear masks in the show ring, during weigh-in of their animal and when they cannot properly social distance. Everyone is encouraged to wear masks during the day.
  • No general public will be allowed.
  • Please only attend with ONE parent/guardian to limit our numbers on the grounds (unless additional parent is needed for a volunteer role) 
  • Animals will not be housed in the barns and will remain at family trailers (with the exception of swine).
  • Parking and trailer assignments will be given at check-in. Trailers will be parked at least 25 feet apart.
  • Animals should come ‘show-ready’ to the fairgrounds. There will be limited use of hoses available for emergency or spot cleaning.
  • No food will be provided. Families should bring their own food and equipment.
