Chisago County 4-H response to COVID-19

Dear 4-H families,

As I’m sure you’ve heard, we have extended our in-person cancellation period until May 15 to align with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This includes all 4-H gatherings in Chisago County.

I am working to adjust program offerings to meet the emerging needs of youth in our community. Please connect with me to share your ideas about how we can support and encourage our young people during this challenging time.

In the coming weeks, please keep watch for new 4-H opportunities. We will use our website, social media and other communication channels to help youth stay connected and find valuable ways to learn, lead and make a difference.

What does this mean for...

Club meetings

Be on the lookout for communication from your club leader about if and how adaptations will be made to stay connected to the club. We value your learning and want to do our best to provide opportunities for project learning and social interaction.

4-H programming

Be on the lookout for communication from volunteer leaders about if and how adaptations will be made to continue with scheduled programming.

Events that cannot be adapted to alternative formats will be rescheduled or cancelled. If payment was made the 4-H office will reimburse families.

Committee meetings

Committees can work with Jeremy Freeman to set up remote/online meeting spaces to continue to meet and plan.

Animal Identification

Please see the most recent information communicated regarding the extended deadline (June 1, 2020).

Committed to thriving,

Jeremy Freeman
